He was struggling with the disheartening veterinarian work he was doing until he found a new way to help people and their dogs to be happy, healthy, and maintain a crucial relationship through his work in the streets with the unhoused.
MARGOT GURALNICK - While talking her dog Enrique for walks around their neighborhood, Margot Guralnick discovered a new way to see her surroundings. She started to make nature collages and created the ongoing Dog Walk Diary series.
ED YONG - While studying how the sensory of animal worlds was different from humans, Ed Yong had the first dog of his life come into the home. Not only did it inform how he then interacted with his canine companion, but it gave him a unique kind of insight into understanding the hidden nature around us in a special new way.
